November 18, 2013 Posted By Vanguard Attorneys

On Tuesday, October 29th, two women were involved in separate and unrelated fatal car accidents that took place in Pinellas Park. Both of the incidents occurred individually, but were only about 30 minutes apart from each other.

The first of the fatal accidents occurred just before 10:50 a.m.. According to information provided by Pinellas Park police, Michelle B. Tanner, 50, of Pinellas Park, was attempting to make a U-turn near the 6400 block of 66th Street. As she pulled across oncoming lanes, her 1997 Mercury sedan collided with a 2005 Kia sedan. The Kia was driven by Tyler Bonfiglio, 20, also of Pinellas Park.

Tanner was ejected from her car by the force of the collision. She was transported to a nearby area hospital, where she died from her injuries within 24 hours of the accident, according to police. No information was provided on whether or not Tanner had been wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

The second fatal accident involved a pedestrian who was struck around 11:19am that same morning near the 5600 block of Park Boulevard. According to police, a woman was crossing Park and was hit by a GMC Suburban driven by William Wilson, 60, of Pinellas Park. Police said the woman died from her injuries a few hours after the accident. Authorities did not release the victim’s name because officers had not yet contacted her family. Both traffic crashes are under police investigation.
